JERUSALEM: Israeli security officials say Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and top ministers will soon convene to discuss along-anticipated prisoner swap between Israel and Hamas militants in Gaza.
The officials say Israel is expected to decide Monday whether to approve a deal that will exchange captive Israeli soldier Gilad Schalit for about 1,000 Palestinian prisoners.
The officials spoke on condition of anonymity because military regulations forbid them from talking to the media. Netanyahu and his ministers met late into the night Sunday.
