KARACHI: The Islami Jamiat Talaba Pakistan is celebrating its 63rd Foundation Day across the country today (Tuesday).

A group of 25 students set up a student organization, named Islami Jamiat Talaba Pakistan, on Dec 23, 1947. This was the only student organization, which was formed immediately after Pakistan came into existence.

Despite a long journey of 62 years, the IJTP is still working for the literary and ideological training of students. According to the representatives of IJTP, the 62 years of this students’ body are full of sacrifices, struggle and milestones.

A large number of successful people, including politicians, bureaucrats, scientists, engineers, doctors, journalists and lawyers, who are now serving the country once remained the members of IJTP.
