Christmas celebrated in Karachi churches

KARACHI: The Christmas prays were also held and eve celebrated all across churches located in parts of Karachi on Thursday night, Geo news reported.

Especial prays were offered for the stability and peace and order in Pakistan in celebration of the eve of Christmas.

On the occasion, fathers and bishops recited parts of verses from Bible in churches including Trinity and Saint Peters.

A large number of Christians including women, children and aged ones attended the celebrations and offered prays for the progress and prosperity of Pakistan.

Churches were illuminated with bulbs and glowing lights meanwhile, people exchanged with one another, the greetings, the gifts and the cake-cutting ceremonies were also held to mark festival’s celebrations.

Especial security arrangements were adopted on the occasion around churches with deployment of heavy police and rangers’ contingents, law enforcement agencies sources said.
